Affiliate pool · how it works

How affiliate rewards work

Affiliates earn alpha from qualifying revenue. Each round publishes an estimated allocation rate and fixes the alpha amount at close.

Six steps

  1. 01

Set up a Bittensor wallet with the Taostats Wallet, then sign with its coldkey to get a referral link. Your coldkey is your affiliate identity; an optional handle gives your public profile a short name.

  2. 02

Share your link. Referral attribution is fixed at signup, with a 30-day link-capture window.

  3. 03

Earn on qualifying top-ups for 30 days from each referral's first successful top-up. Check each referral's end date on your profile.

  4. 04

Rounds run for at least 1 day. Each affiliate's share = their referred revenue ÷ total affiliate revenue, up to the dollar cap at the round's closing price.

  5. 05

The alpha quantity is fixed when a round closes. The close also starts each bucket's hold period.

  6. 06

Rewards are released after 7 days for crypto payment top-ups and 120 days for card payment top-ups, measured from the actual round close.

Rounds, the cap and carry-forward

The available pool is allocated at close, up to the reward cap. Each affiliate's share = their referred revenue ÷ total affiliate revenue. When referred revenue is below full-rate capacity, the maximum reward rate applies and the unused pool carries into the next round. The alpha allocation is capped at the configured share of revenue value using the round's closing price. An operator closes each round after at least 1 day. A later close extends the round. Rounding dust stays reserved until the round's buckets are resolved, then joins the surplus.

Which referrals qualify?

Qualifying referrals are new customer accounts created after the programme launched, with your referral link captured before signup. Attribution is fixed at signup. Earn on qualifying top-ups for 30 days from each referral's first successful top-up. Check each referral's end date on your profile.

Accounts linked by the same card or verified Bittensor wallet are grouped together. Only the earliest account in a group can qualify. Later linked accounts are ineligible, and their unpaid rewards return to the pool.

Revenue adjustments

Refunds

A refund or payment dispute reduces that bucket's qualifying revenue and recalculates its unpaid alpha. Example 3 shows the amount returned to the pool. Paid allocations remain paid.

Eligibility updates

When a referral is marked ineligible, its unpaid allocation returns to the pool. Public reward records show the adjustment and paid amounts.

Where rewards come from

Alpha for customer acquisition

The pool receives the subnet's remaining miner emissions after GM's miner payouts. It allocates available alpha against qualifying referred top-ups, up to the reward cap. Unused alpha carries into future rounds. Rewards are paid in Subnet 28 alpha.

Follow the results

The public pool shows qualifying top-ups, reward allocations, payouts and the alpha carried forward. Top-ups measure customer payments; they do not measure how much AI those customers have used or whether they return. See SayGM's buyback and burn records.

What the service does

SayGM's affiliate service uses account and payment records to attribute referrals, check eligibility and report qualifying revenue. The operator supplies the closing price and closes rounds after the minimum duration.

What the contract does

The Subtensor contract holds the pool and enforces reward allocations, holds, reductions and payout limits. The service submits payouts after the required checks. Round records include the closing transaction; affiliate profiles show payout records.

What customers can expect

Your link records who introduced a customer to SayGM. Share the models, pricing and setup guide that help them decide whether SayGM fits their needs, and tell them you can earn alpha from their qualifying top-ups.

Public referral records show a pseudonymous customer reference, signup date, earning status and qualifying top-up amounts. Activity records can also show payment and adjustment timing. Customer names, email addresses and conversations are not part of these affiliate records.

Identity, payouts and value

Your affiliate identity

Your Bittensor payout coldkey identifies your public affiliate profile. Sign with the coldkey to register or update an optional unique handle. The coldkey URL stays canonical; your handle labels your profile and referral link.

Your coldkey is the Bittensor wallet address rewards are paid to. Sign in with that coldkey. Set up a wallet.

Public records

Anyone can view your revenue, adjustments, rewards and payouts. Referred customers appear only as pseudonymous references.

Alpha value

The alpha quantity is fixed when its round closes. Reward records use that round's closing price; alpha's market value changes over time.

Automatic payouts

The custody contract is an EVM contract on Subtensor. After holds and payment checks, the service pays alpha to your Bittensor coldkey. Affiliates never call the contract or submit a claim transaction.

Hold dates

Holds begin at the round's actual close. Example 5 shows the release dates for 7 days for crypto payment top-ups and 120 days for card payment top-ups.
